What Is an IV Cannula?

IV Cannula is a product known by other terms and names such as Branula, Peripheral Vascular Catheter, Venous Catheter, and Intravenous Cannula (IV Cannula). In fact, it is a multifunctional medical device that is mainly used for injection and rapid intravenous-vascular access. It consists of a small flexible tube (catheter) connected to a needle, and is used for intravenous therapy and long-term intravenous injections, blood sampling, high-flow injections, hemodialysis, fluid therapy, or administration of medications and injectable solutions. Depending on the site of insertion, they can be used for a period ranging from 3 days to approximately one month.
