Multi-Rate Disposable Infusion Pump

The Pain Relief Pump, also known as a PCA (Patient-Controlled Analgesia) pump, is designed to continuously and gradually deliver medication to help keep patients pain-free or reduce their level of pain over a specified period. These pumps are used to manage patient pain by delivering different doses of morphine or other medications prescribed by a physician before or after surgery, or during antibiotic treatment.

The bolus and multi-rate model of this pain relief pump is equipped with a button (bolus button) that is accessible to the patient. When the patient experiences pain, they can press the button to receive a dose of medication. However, the maximum allowable amount of medication that can be delivered by pressing the button within a specified period is fixed (for example, 0.5 mL every 15 minutes).

In addition, the pump is equipped with a regulator, allowing physicians or nurses to adjust the infusion rate as needed.
